RIDGEFIELD – It is the third snowed-out Monday in as many weeks here and across greater Danbury, but some residents were determined to get out of the house.
The fact that the Danbury Road Starbucks was open helped.
“Definitely — I came out and I couldn’t believe no one was out here today,” said George Samenuk of Ridgefield, walking out of Starbucks wearing a Cleveland Browns cap and carrying a cup of coffee.
Unlike the snow storms last week and the week before, when few cars were on the road and few shops were open, there was more traffic in downtown Ridgefield Monday morning.
The National Weather Service forecast for the Danbury Airport area was for 2-to-4 inches of snow this afternoon, and additional snow tonight of no more than an inch.
Expect clearing skies Tuesday with a high of 31.
